I strive to provide concise, practical and commercially sound advice. Whilst I understand the benefits of and promote early settlement to my clients, I appreciate that this may not always be appropriate for some disputes, and am prepared to deliver pragmatic and strategic advice throughout litigation proceedings.

• Advising on all aspects of motor finance litigation in respect of both regulated and unregulated finance agreements including consumer credit matters.
• Insolvency work including preparing for, presenting and concluding bankruptcy and winding-up proceedings.
• Interim applications including applications to strike out claims and defences, amend statements of case, set aside judgments and summary judgments.
• Enforcement of court judgments.
Recent Work
• Advising large captive motor finance companies on all aspects of motor finance litigation including consumer credit matters involving wrongful interference claims, unfair relationship and satisfactory quality disputes.
• Advising FTSE 250 finance houses in the recovery of debt and assets.
• Achieving favorable settlement in a commercial dispute by raising liability limiting arguments following the client’s breach of contract.
• Acting for a FTSE 250 company in robustly defending a meritless claim brought by their licensee, who sought damages following the client’s alleged breach of the licence, concluding in the claim being struck out together with costs for the client.
• Acting for a vulnerable tenant in defending a possession claim raised by its social landlord involving the instruction of a single joint expert.
• Achieving the agreed sale of a residential property and occupational rent for a joint owner following its disputed sale through pre-litigation negotiation.
• Advising both landlords and tenants involved in disputes concerning the payment of rent arrears.
• Advising landlords and trustees of bankruptcy seeking to obtain a possession order in respect of residential property.
