I give practical and commercial advice to resolve my client’s cases successfully. With that said, I don’t lose sight of the stress and strain that litigation can bring. I take a sensitive approach to make sure that my clients feel supported in reaching a good result.

Area of Expertise

My particular expertise is in disputed trusts and estates, but I have experience and expertise in dealing with a wide range of disputes, such as:

• Contested high-value and complex trusts and estates
• Disputes between co-owners of land and property
• Claims for provision under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975
• Challenging the validity of Wills
• Removing trustees or executors
• Disputes over the conduct of trusts or estates
• Claims for breaches of contracts
• Disputes over commercial property

Recent Work

• Representing the executor of a multi-million pound estate dealing with challenges to the validity of the Will, challenges to the management of the estate, and disputes over the ownership of property
• Representing the executor of an estate in a case responding to a claim from the deceased’s unmarried partner
• Representing a property developer in a multi-million pound claim over the ownership and management of a portfolio of London properties
• Obtaining an emergency injunction to secure access to a commercial property
• Successfully applying to remove an executor of a £1.5m estate on grounds of mismanagement
• Successfully settling a claim against a £3m estate under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975 from the deceased’s son and two daughters
• Successfully represented the beneficiary of a trust of property arguing the trustee should be personally liable for improper trust expenses
