The First Property & Paradise Ladies Networking Lunch
We co-hosted the Property & Paradise Ladies Networking Lunch with MSP Capital on Wednesday 2nd July at The NICI Hotel to bring together women from the property sector to discuss the issues affecting their lines of work and form new connections whilst raising money for charity.

From estate agents and valuers to developers and accountants, our experts got to speak to a wide range of leaders in the property sector. Kate Brooks, Lauren Day, Henrietta Frew, Florence Maher, Melissa Windeatt, Lesley Curtis and Jenny Sanderson attended from our Firm, with Kate introducing the event alongside Rachel Bartlett and Nicky Hollamby from MSP Capital.
The importance of female led events
Lauren then gave an interesting speech on the place of female led events in the modern day, considering the high percentage of men in the different property related sectors compared to women and the gender equality laws that have been in place for a surprisingly short amount of time.
Motivational talk on resilience
After the first lunch course was served, we were joined by Motivational Speaker, Erin Kennedy, 2x Paralympic Champion, Multiple World & European Champion and Breast Cancer Campaigner. Erin was awarded an OBE in the 2024 New Year’s Honours List for Services to Rowing and Breast Cancer Awareness. Erin gave an inspirational talk on the pillars of resilience and choosing your mood, touching on her battle with breast cancer whilst training for the Paralympics.
Raising money for charity
Following Erin’s talk the second course was served and then it was time to draw for the mystery prize tombola! There were several lovely prizes up for grabs with one mystery prize, all to raise money for Dorset Mind alongside donations from Ellis Jones Solicitors and MSP Capital. £954 was raised in total for Dorset Mind from this event to support a wonderful charity.
