Our 2025 staff activity clubs

Paddleboarding club

The EJ paddleboarding club had several outings this year. In June, there was a paddleboarding trip to Wimborne river after work, in July the club travelled to Sandbanks after work, and in August there was a morning trip to Studland, with a paddle out to Old Harry Rocks, followed by a well-deserved hot drink and breakfast roll. Evie Allum, Daisy Kershaw, Alex Chance, Nicola Hall, Conor Maher, Florence Maher, Diane Thomas, Jenny Sanderson and Sarah Bourgoin formed the club this year and enjoyed socialising together outside of the office.

Volleyball club

Grace Wills, Leah Sharman, Kate Brooks, Sean McNally, Raluca Parker, Jenny Sanderson, Sarah Bourgoin and Paul Kanolik formed the 2025 volleyball club over a 6 week coaching programme ran by Deep Dish. Meeting from June onwards, the club had several outings on Wednesdays at 6pm at the volleyball courts at Sandbanks beach.

The volleyball meet ups concluded with the club playing in the MSP Capital volleyball tournament on 4th September at Bournemouth beach. Our team played 3 games in the 1^st round, including some really close games and really good serving and the team had some good rallies going. It was a really windy day which made it challenging but the team still had lots of fun and delicious food was served by Flaming Peaches. Thanks to MSP Capital for organising the event and to Deep Dish for helping umpire.

Staff social events

Our staff summer activities are just some of the social events that happen at Ellis Jones throughout the year, we also hosted a Family Fun Day on 7th September and we have the EJ Winter Wonderland Christmas Party coming up in the social calendar on 5th December for our staff. Creating opportunities for our staff to connect from different offices is something we prioritise as part of our put people first ethos.
