We are thrilled to announce the recent results in one of the leading legal directories, The Legal 500. We are exceptionally proud that so many of the teams and individuals have been recognised for their outstanding efforts. This year the firm has been recognised across Commercial Litigation, Family, Contentious Trusts & Probate, Wills, Trusts & Probate, Employment and Business Services for the following;

Commercial Litigation

Commercial Litigation – including the Dispute Resolution, and Banking and Finance teams, claimed Tier 1 where their recent
work, such as acting for a claimant in a High Court claim against a major high street bank, was highlighted. This top tier was gained by the team showing ‘great commitment to its clients’ and producing good analysis of court proceedings’ and is one of just three firms in the top tier in Dorset and South Wiltshire.

Partner and Head of Dispute Resolution, Lauren Day was awarded as a leading individual and quoted to have ‘excellent judgement’ and ‘is very bright and has great interpersonal skills’. It was said that Lauren is ‘noted for her experience in handling high-value contractual disputes for property developer clients.’ Partner and Head of Banking & Finance Litigation, William Fox Bregman, received recognition as ‘experienced in the Banking and Finance space’ with Partner, Paul Kanolik, also being listed as a key lawyer.

Described as having ‘a fantastic knowledge of their subject’, the Employment team was placed in Tier 1, the top banding, due to being ‘fast to respond’, and ‘direct, honest, effective, and always easy to talk to‘. Their work with Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra regarding employment law and HR advice was one of 5 highlights to be mentioned.

It was quoted that ‘The team at Ellis Jones has a fantastic knowledge of their subject and a real empathy for clients, I would
always recommend them
‘ and another individual would ‘especially recommend’ Partner and Head of Employment Solicitor, Kate Brooks.

Their work with defending a £230,000 spousal claim was one of four highlights to be commentated.

It deals with all matters in a timely, effective and efficient manner’ followed by recognition for Head of Contentious Trusts & Probate and Partner, Lauren Day, to say she ‘always provides concise and balanced judgements and advice’

Wills, Trusts & Probate

Wills, Trusts & Probate claimed Tier 3 and were described as ‘very approachable’ alongside ‘obviously keen on what they do and keen to support clients in anyway’. Their previous work such as administering £3.4m estate of a deceased farmer was highlighted amongst other cases.
