Last week we hosted our first Rise & Shine Networking Breakfast event of 2023 with fantastic guest speakers Lauren Day and Charlotte Day-Lewin. The focus of the session was leadership, and it was a brilliant success, leaving all guests motivated and inspired.
Lauren is a Partner & Solicitor at Ellis Jones and heads up our Dispute Resolution department as well as overseeing the firm’s marketing activity. Lauren began her journey at Ellis Jones as a Trainee Solicitor in 2007 and rapid progression saw her promoted to Partner in 2013.
Lauren’s identical twin sister Charlotte is the founder of twin London – a boutique consultancy for premium brands. From starting her career at Omnicom in the digital team, Charlotte has shown incredible leadership and progressed from becoming the youngest ever Managing Partner of the world’s largest media agency, Mindshare, to launching her own creative consultancy, twin London.
Lauren and Charlotte walked us through their experiences and how they both reached their leadership roles, offering insight to the challenges as well as their top tips on how to be a good and successful leader in your industry.
Ellis Jones Rise & Shine Breakfast Club is a networking breakfast for young professionals from all areas of business. The event provides an incredible opportunity for peers to connect with like-minded individuals and build working relationships and a network of contacts. As a firm we are passionate in supporting our junior level employees further their career and we encourage our trainee and newly qualified solicitors to join this vibrant network. Flamingo Café were once again excellent hosts for the event, providing a buffet breakfast and drinks in a stylish setting.
The next Rise & Shine breakfast club is on Thursday 27th April at 7.45am at Flamingo in Winton, Bournemouth. The focus will be on ‘Lessons Learnt in Business’ with a guest speaker Warren Munson, Founder of Evolve. We are holding these events quarterly and at each event, a new speaker shall be joining us, to share their experiences and knowledge.
