Fundraising at Bournemouth Business Fives Tournament

A team effort

The Business Fives Tournament was held at BH Live Pelhams Sports Centre, where 15 teams—comprising a total of 136 players—competed across 43 matches, with an impressive 151 goals scored throughout the day. Altogether, the event raised £2,170 for a range of charities, with Ellis Jones supporting Bowel Cancer UK.

Representing Ellis Jones were Paul Kanolik, Tom Baker, Luke Foot, Tom Eyles, Jasmine White, Max Addison and Josh Bentley. The team performed well across five matches and were ultimately crowned winners of the Business Fives European Conference League!

Insights from a professional

Following the matches, participants enjoyed pizza and refreshments, along with a special guest appearance from former AFC Bournemouth player, James Hayter. James shared insights into life as a professional footballer and holds the record for the fastest hat-trick in English Football League history—scored in just 2 minutes and 21 seconds.

Making connections

The event provided a fantastic opportunity for colleagues from across the firm to connect with one another, build new relationships, and strengthen existing ones—reflecting our put people first ethos.
