We are thrilled to share the exciting news that we have been shortlisted for Outstanding Case of the Year in the Modern Law Awards, which celebrate excellence and innovation in the legal sector.
We have also been shortlisted for two categories at the eleventh annual LexisNexis Legal Awards, firstly the Wellbeing Award which has recognised our steadfast commitment to our staff. Our outstanding achievements have also secured us a place in contention for the Deal of the Year Award.

Award for Wellbeing
We are proud to announce our inclusion in the shortlist for the Wellbeing Award, a testament to our unwavering commitment to prioritising people. This recognition underscores our ethos, where every individual acknowledges the significance of, and their accountability for, health and wellbeing. In 2019, we established a dedicated health and wellbeing group to foster growth and development in crucial areas such as emotional, mental, financial, and physical wellbeing.
Since 2021, we have been hosting regular ‘Lunch & Learn‘ sessions for our staff. These sessions feature insights from both external and internal speakers, covering topics not only relevant to career development but also addressing aspects of their personal lives. Topics range from managing imposter syndrome and financial stress to handling difficult clients, time management, and stress management.
Our “Wellness Wednesday” internal newsletter was implemented in 2020 with the aim to promote positive thinking by sharing de-stress tools, healthy recipes, local walks, and events to encourage an active lifestyle. The newsletter also addresses mental health awareness days, provides breathing exercises, and offers posture correction tips for desk jobs.
In 2022, we successfully relaunched our Social Group to foster social interactions among our staff. This initiative has proven to be a major success, enhancing a sense of inclusion within our growing firm and facilitating connections among our six offices across the South Coast and London.
Deal of the Year and Outstanding Case of the Year
Our Partner, Solicitor and Head of Business Services, Neil Cook, acted for New Milton based TranAm Ltd in the deal with Finland-based Duell Corporation and completed the sale on its behalf. Both the Outstanding Case of the Year and the Deal of the Year nominations were for this case.

The Results
The Modern Law awards are due to be held at the Hurlingham Club in London on 7th March and the LexisNexis Legal Awards are being held on 14th March at the JW Marriott Grosvenor House hotel in London.
