Settlement Agreement Negotiations

Our employment lawyers have a wealth of experience in negotiating settlement agreements and providing advice to employees.

We are happy to offer a negotiations service whereby we will advise you on the merits of your offer and where we consider that you could negotiate further, we will negotiate directly with your employer on your behalf.

What happens during the negotiations process?

Contact us for an appointment

We are happy to have an initial free call with you to discuss whether negotiations would work in your case. If you decide that you would like us to negotiate on the financial terms of the agreement, we will try to build this time into the employer contribution. If this is not possible, we will provide you with a fixed fee or offer you a no-win, no-fee arrangement to negotiate.

Negotiations

We are experienced in negotiating settlements and will negotiate with your employer directly on your behalf. We will advise you throughout the process on whether we think that you are being offered a good deal.

Explaining the agreement

Once you are happy with the offer, we will arrange an appointment to explain the terms and effect of the agreement to you.

Signing the agreement

If you are happy with the terms at the end of the meeting, we will discuss with you how to sign the agreement and will return the signed Settlement Agreement to your employer for you. To streamline the process, we often use DocuSign so that you can electronically sign the Settlement Agreement quickly and easily.

We will then raise our invoice in respect of the agreed contribution to your legal fees and any other fee arrangement  (if this applies).
