Finalist at the 2024 Solent Deals Awards
The finalists for the 2024 Solent Deals Awards have been unveiled, and we’re delighted to announce that Ellis Jones has been shortlisted for the Mid-Range Deal of the Year (£10m – £50m) category.
This event stands as a pinnacle in the corporate finance landscape, bringing together a diverse range of industry experts from corporate finance, legal, banking, and beyond, all contributing significantly to deals within the Solent and South Coast region.
We are incredibly proud to be shortlisted for the Mid-Range Deal category, especially given the competition from fellow dealmakers and law firms. The shortlisting is for the firm’s role in the £12m sale of motorcycling clothing and accessories distributor and wholesaler TranAm Ltd. Neil Cook, Partner and Head of Business Services, acted for New Milton based TranAm Ltd in the deal with Finland-based Duell Corporation and completed the sale on its behalf.

TranAm is a leading distributor and wholesaler of clothing and accessories for the motorcycling sector. It also has an offering of ski, snowboarding and pet accessories. The company was founded in 1976, and Managing Director Peter Lloyd will continue to head operations at the firm following the deal with Duell.

The winners will be unveiled during the awards ceremony on Thursday 21st March at the Hilton Ageas Bowl in Southampton, with television presenter Mark Durden-Smith hosting the event.
