Ellis Jones shortlist success – STEP Private Client Awards 2024

Open to both STEP members and non-members worldwide, these esteemed Awards honour and celebrate excellence among private client solicitors, lawyers, accountants, barristers, bankers, trust managers, and financial advisors.

Our commitment to health & wellbeing at Ellis Jones

To be shortlisted for the Employer of the Year award highlights our commitment to a culture where everyone values and takes responsibility for health and wellbeing. In 2019, we established a dedicated health and wellbeing group to promote growth and development in key areas such as emotional, mental, financial, and physical wellbeing.

Since 2021, we have hosted regular ‘Lunch & Learn’ sessions for our staff. These sessions feature insights from external speakers such as Dorset Mind and internal speakers, covering topics relevant to career development and personal life. Subjects include managing imposter syndrome, financial stress, difficult clients, time management, and stress management.

Our “Wellness Wednesday” internal newsletter, launched in 2020, aims to promote positive thinking by sharing de-stress tools, healthy recipes, local walks, and events to encourage an active lifestyle. It also addresses mental health awareness days, provides breathing exercises, and offers posture correction tips for desk jobs.

In 2022, we relaunched our Social Group to foster social interactions among our staff. This initiative has been highly successful, enhancing a sense of inclusion within our growing firm and facilitating connections across our six offices on the South Coast and in London.

Since the relaunch we have held quiz nights, challenged ourselves in Escape Rooms, created a paddleboarding club as well as a volleyball club over the summer months, and many more.
