Our healthcare conference on Wednesday 7th May welcomed healthcare professionals to learn about legal updates and considerations relevant to the healthcare sector.
Our speakers included: Kate Brooks, Diane Pearce, Neil Cook, Henrietta Frew, Magdalena Lipinska, Kerry Saunders from Heritage Investments and Lucy Corner from Cornerstone Care Solutions.
We had attendees from Grand Park Homes, Care UK, Luxury Care, Macmillan Caring Locally and more listen to the following topics:
- Sales and purchases of care homes
- The importance of understanding your prospective resident’s or client’s legal and financial affairs
- An overview of recent disputes concerning care providers and tips to avoid them from arising
- Care home resilience
- Employment law and HR update – covering recent changes to legislation, relevant tribunal case law and best practice
- Data protection and the risks and challenges for healthcare organisations
