Proms in the Park at Park Manor
Solicitor, Daisy Kershaw from our Wills, Trusts & Probate department attended the Manor Life Proms in the Park event at Park Manor Care Home on Saturday 18th July.
A wonderful performance
On a beautiful summer’s day, I had the pleasure of attending Proms in the Park at Park Manor Care Home with Diane Vincent, who works within our Court of Protection team at Ellis Jones.
Set within the home’s stunning grounds, the afternoon featured a performance by a string quartet made up of professional musicians from the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra (BSO) alongside local musician, Angus. The quartet provided the perfect soundtrack to the afternoon, and it was wonderful to hear professional musicians performing in such an informal setting. Cream teas and Pimms added to the atmosphere, making it a quintessentially British summer event. As a firm, Ellis Jones has proudly supported the BSO for over a decade, so it was great to see their musicians taking part in the afternoon.

Bringing people together
As well as enjoying the event, I was fortunate to be given a tour of the grand home, which provided an insight into life at Park Manor. The beautiful setting and warm atmosphere made a lasting impression, and it was clear that Park Manor has created a lovely environment where residents can feel comfortable, supported, and at home.
The event brought together residents, families, members of the local community and the Mayor of Poole in a relaxed and welcoming setting. It was a welcome opportunity to spend time with people at the heart of our local area and celebrate the importance of community connections.
