Motoring Law still in place during a time of Coronavirus
It is clear that in these difficult times there are considerably less vehicles on the public roads whilst the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pushes ourselves, our families and our friends into isolation.
What may not be clear however, is that even though we may face difficult times, the law still applies. Even though we may be spending more time inside there are those who have to drive for either medical, emergency or work purposes, if they cannot work from home.
With clear roads, there may be a temptation to increase speed, become distracted or otherwise fall below our usual driving standards.
For those who have no alternative but to drive, please note that fixed cameras, the Traffic Police and indeed all Police Officers are working as normal, fully operational both in terms of detection and enforcement of all offending.
The Courts continue to function, and while the law in certain circumstances allows for offences to be excused to various extents in an emergency; these situations are few and far between.
With the rapidly changing situation regarding Coronavirus (COVID-19), we would like to reassure you that we are still fully operational and able to provide all our legal services remotely to support you through these difficult times. Our experts are here to help and can provide our normal level of service online, via email, over the phone or via video conferencing.
