Ellis Jones supports Wimborne Food Festival 2026
Our team enjoyed meeting residents, visitors and local businesses while supporting the community at the Wimborne Food Festival 2026.
On Saturday 19 September 2026, we were pleased to support the Wimborne Food Festival and spend the day engaging with the local community. Richard Tombs, Nicola Hall and I ran the Ellis Jones stand just outside our office on East Street, where the event brought together local residents, visitors and businesses in the heart of Wimborne.
Our hourly hamper raffle
One of the highlights was our hourly raffle, with hampers offered as prizes containing a selection of goods from the East Street Deli just up the road. Each hour, we drew a winner and called them to let them know that they had won a hamper. The raffle was a great way to showcase a nearby independent business and gave festival attendees another reason to stop, chat and get involved.
A valuable opportunity to raise awareness
Richard Tombs commented:
“Whilst it wasn’t a hard marketing activity, we were the only legal presence in town that day, which served as great opportunity to speak with locals, visitors and estate agents in what was a valuable exercise for brand awareness”
Nicola Hall commented:
“It was lovely to see so many people enjoying the Food Festival in the sunshine and for us to meet and chat with so many locals and visitors to the town”
Supporting our local community
Meeting the Mayor and the Town Crier was a particular highlight, and the day gave us a valuable insight into the issues and interests that matter to people in Wimborne. Taking part also helped us build on our ties with the town’s close-knit community.
We were pleased to play a part in the Wimborne Food Festival and to support an event celebrating local food, independent businesses and the people who make the town such a welcoming place. Thank you to everyone who stopped by.
