The first law firm in Dorset & Hampshire to adopt DocuSign
We’re pleased to announce that we are the first (and at the time of writing, the only) law firm in Hampshire and Dorset to offer DocuSign electronic signing to our clients.
Following a successful 1 year trial which saw 45% of agreements completed and returned in less than six hours, we have decided to sign up to DocuSign and roll out the service for the benefit of our clients.
We started piloting e-signatures in October 2015 and the feedback from clients and staff has been excellent. Contracts can be signed on any device with no need to print, scan, post or fax anything. We are always looking for ways we can improve the service we offer our clients and DocuSign does just that – by making the process faster and more convenient for all involved.
Tim Morris, Managing Director of Spotless Water Ltd, added: “We’ve worked with Ellis Jones on a number of matters in the last year and using DocuSign has been great. It has made getting multiple signatures on complex deals easy while ensuring that nothing is missed. The whole process of completing deals has been smoother and more relaxed than with traditional signing. I spend a lot of time on the road or in London and historically signing agreements has been a real inconvenience for me so I am really pleased that Ellis Jones have taken this step. It’s great to work with lawyers who ‘get’ technology and are genuinely interested in improving the experience for their customers.”
DocuSign is the market leader in electronic signatures – used by more than 250,000 companies and over 100 million customers across 188 countries with almost one million transactions completed each day. We chose DocuSign to ensure both security and ease of use for our clients.
Jacqueline de Gernier, Regional Vice President Commercial Sales for Europe, Middle East and Africa at DocuSign, commented: “We are seeing encouraging momentum with regards to legal firms adopting electronic signature platforms. Ellis Jones is a shining example of a forward-thinking law firm.”
The driving force behind this initiative is to provide a better service to our clients and to work with them on improving that service. We’ve also set up virtual data rooms for our M&A work and are looking forward to rolling out other initiatives and improvements in the coming year.
