Charlotte Zanelli
My Approach
My role as a Legal Assistant is to not only provide administrative support to our Dispute Resolution team, but also to assist our lawyers with the day-to-day running of files. I aim to provide clients with clear, timely, and supportive communication, working to resolve any queries quickly and to help make their experience as stress-free as possible.
I regularly communicate with our clients in person, on the phone or by email and pride myself with being a friendly and warm point of contact, whilst still maintaining the professionalism expected of our services. I understand how daunting litigious matters can feel and so I pride myself on treating every client and their matter with care and respect.
Area of Expertise
As a Legal Assistant, I assist in a wide range of areas, including (but not limited to):
- Wills, Inheritance and Trust Disputes
- Criminal Law
- Commercial Disputes
- Property Litigation
- Professional Negligence
Whilst I work in many different areas, I am particularly focused on gaining experience within Wills, Inheritance and Trust Disputes.
My Route to Ellis Jones
After graduating from the University of Exeter in 2023, I did not have a certain career path in mind. Looking to gain experience in a professional environment, I quickly began working as a Legal Support for a Corporate and Commercial team in Poole. Whilst working in the legal sector, I became interested in the possibility of pursuing a career in law by studying alongside working.
In 2024, I began the CILEX CPQ Foundation Course and quickly knew that this was the right path for me. I am continuing my CPQ Foundation course whilst working at Ellis Jones, and incredibly grateful to the firm for their continued support towards my professional development. Until my own qualification, I continue to look forward to assisting our lawyers and our clients.
Professional Associations & Qualifications
In September 2020, I began studying English at the University of Exeter and graduated with honours in 2023. In 2024, I began the CILEX CPQ Foundation Course, which I hope to complete in 2026, to earn a CILEX Diploma in Law. Once this is completed, I will start the CPQ Advanced Course, followed by the CPQ Professional Course.
On completion of the CILEX CPQ Professional Course, I will be a qualified CILEX Lawyer – a Chartered Legal Executive.
