Ellis Jones support Memories for Lexi Hopkin

On 23rd January 2015 7 year old Lexi Hopkin, daughter of Carly Hopkin who works at our Swanage office, was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour which has no curative treatment. The tragic news has come as a huge shock to Carly, her husband Michael, and Lexi’s two sisters.

All the staff here at Ellis Jones are deeply affected by Lexi’s story and have come together to fundraise so that her family can grant Lexi’s wishes in the very limited time they have left together.

We held a dress down day last week, and on Monday 16th February our Swanage, Ringwood, Bournemouth and Canford Cliffs offices ran a bake sale. The bake sale was a fantastic success, particularly in Swanage where they collected over £500.00 in donations mostly from the generous Swanage community. We are pleased to donate over £1,500 to Carly’s family. We hope it can go towards a once in a lifetime holiday to create some wonderful memories for all the family.

Carly and her husband Michael have been in contact with us and they would like to say “a very big thank you to everyone who has supported ‘Memories for Lexi’, with special thanks to the Swanage community.”
