Attending the 2026 Dorchester Business Awards

Local awards ceremonies

The Marketing West Awards were first held in 2020 as a way to help promote local businesses in West Dorset that were feeling the effect of continued lockdowns from the pandemic. The awards were very well received and Marketing West now host awards ceremonies across Dorset and Hampshire. The awards are free to enter and hosted in many towns, with the goal of helping to promote and nurture independent businesses, as well as entrepreneurs.

Celebrating success

The popular event welcomed just under 70 local businesses to celebrate their accomplishments. Our firm proudly sponsored the Family Business of the Year category again this year, having sponsored in 2025, and the winners were confirmed as Halo Fine Art, Kooky Bloom and Nikki’s Little Play Cafe. The winners were presented their award by Nigel Smith, who joined the winners for networking, along with Malcolm Scott Walby following the awards announcements.

Community support

We’d like to congratulate all of the 2026 winners and thank the organisers for celebrating the prosperous businesses in Dorchester and surrounding areas. Supporting local community events like the Dorchester Business Awards is part of how we give back to the communities and organisations local to our offices. We recently opened an office in the heart of Dorchester and previously sponsored the 2025 Dorchester Business Awards, enabling us to build our network within the West Dorset community.

We previously sponsored the Swanage Business Awards in 2025, also organised by Marketing West, where staff members from our Swanage office attended to present local businesses with awards to celebrate their achievements. These events are wonderful opportunities to connect with other organisations as well as the local community, and we look forward to supporting again next year.
