Lauren brings a pragmatic and personable approach to mediation. It is very important to her that mediation takes place in a supportive and respectful environment. She focuses on helping mediation clients consider their options and identify realistic solutions that may work for their family. Lauren’s aim is to facilitate discussion that enables families to make informed decisions with everyone’s interests in mind so that all involved can move forward with confidence.

Lauren can offer in-person, shuttle or remote mediation sessions (via video call). The best format for mediation can be discussed and decided upon depending on each family’s circumstances.

Experience & Qualifications

Lauren is an all-issues Mediator and Senior Associate in the Family Team at Ellis Jones. She has worked in the field of family law for over 9 years. Lauren is a member of Resolution, committed to helping families resolve issues constructively. She is Chair of the Dorset region of Resolution and is also recognised by Resolution as an Accredited Specialist in Complex Financial Remedies and Private Children matters.

Alongside her mediation practice, Lauren has a wealth of experience in assisting families with situations that involve-

  • Financial disputes upon the breakdown of relationship (including complex situations with property portfolios, business interests, trusts, pensions and high net worth individuals)
  • Arrangements for children
  • Internal and international relocation of children
  • Issues for children such as schooling, holidays, parental responsibility and safeguarding concerns
  • Emergency applications relating to children and family protection
  • Cohabitation disputes (unmarried couples)
  • High conflict disputes between family members (including grandparents)

Lauren is a Dragonfly Champion., a point of contact for those experiencing domestic abuse and supporting individuals to access services (as part of the YOU Trust, Paragon – Domestic Abuse services). The Legal 500 (UK) 2024 describes Lauren as having “a great reassuring manner with clients and is a very safe pair of hands”.
