My Approach

I recognise that my clients will often be going through one of the most difficult times in their lives and therefore understand the need for empathy in my approach. However, I will also take a pragmatic and, where needed, tenacious approach to ensure that my client's objectives are met as quickly and cost effectively as possible.

I have worked in the Family field since 2012 and have experience in the following:-

  • All aspects of divorce and civil partnership dissolution
  • Financial disputes arising from divorce or dissolution including matters involving multiple properties, pensions and businesses.
  • Financial disputes where the parties are not married and have a child.
  • Cohabitation agreements and disputes
  • Disputes involving children such as contact, who the child lives with, choice of school, surname and holidays
  • International access to children
  • Child abduction
  • Relocation of children inside and outside of England
  • Cases involving children where there are allegations of a sexual nature
  • Emergency applications to protect children
  • Emergency applications relating to domestic violence

Recent Work Includes

  • Successfully rebutting allegations of sexual abuse against a father
  • Successfully representing a mother in her application for the child live with her
  • Successfully representing a father in his application for the return of his children to Malta in the High Court
  • Assisting in a client’s application to move her child to Spain in the Court of Appeal (Re F (A Child) (International Relocation Cases) [2015] EWCA Civ 882)
  • Assisting in a client’s application for special guardianship of their nephew (W (A Child) [2016] EWCA Civ 793)
  • Assisting a father in an application in the Supreme Court in respect of the mother’s application to appeal an order for the return of their children to Australia (Re C (Children) [2018] UKSC 8)
