NHS Continuing Healthcare

Depending on a person’s level of health and nursing care needs, they may not need to pay for care fees and may instead be eligible for NHS Continuing Healthcare funding. If you think that you or a relative may have been wrongly assessed as not being eligible for this funding, we can advise you and help to pursue a claim if appropriate.

Our Healthcare Team is a dedicated group of lawyers who can provide you with concise, comprehensive and practical advice. Our qualified and experienced solicitors will be happy to assist you.

How we work

We offer a free initial consultation after which you can decide whether you wish to instruct us. We would then proceed to carry out an initial assessment of your matter for a transparent and proportionate fixed fee. Depending on the outcome of that assessment, we can consider whether we can act on a No Win No Fee basis thereafter as appropriate.

Current Position

We are all living longer and over a quarter of our population are now aged over 65. The health and social care sector has grown at the same rate with an increased development of specialist care services.

As a result, more people have to sell their homes or use their life savings to fund the cost of care in later life. However, depending on a person’s level of health and nursing care needs, they may not need to do this and may be eligible for NHS Continuing Healthcare funding.

You or a relative may have been wrongly assessed as not being eligible for NHS Continuing Healthcare funding. We can advise you as to whether that is the case and whether you might have a potential claim for retrospective and/or future funding.

This type of claim can be made in respect of care received from 1 April 2012 onwards, regardless of whether the service user is alive or has passed away. Don’t let the opportunity to obtain funding for expensive care fees pass you by.
