Firms IT trainer accepted into ITOL professional body

Working in a law firm requires extensive training, and most find it surprising that all staff members at Ellis Jones are required to participate in initial mandatory IT training that usually takes a minimum of 2 days. Training is an ongoing process throughout their employment. This extensive training is carried out by none other than Jan, our IT trainer.

Jan’s role at Ellis Jones involves, amongst other things, assisting staff in maintaining high levels of expertise in general day to day matters. This covers our practice management system, case management system, Microsoft office software, and other essential programmes and areas of training.

To be sure our staff members are receiving quality training; Jan has recently been accepted into the Institute of Training and Occupational Learning, an elite professional training body. Alongside being a member, Jan is also undertaking a diploma which will give her a recognised trainer qualification. The diploma includes areas such as training needs analysis, training design, training delivery and learning, and evaluation and impact.

Moving forward, Jan aims to provide interesting, informative and interactive courses that staff are eager to attend. At Ellis Jones personal development is key, which is why we encourage staff to participate in further training and development courses.
