Festive Fundraisers at Ellis Jones Solicitors

Last Friday we donned our wackiest woollies to take part in Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day, and used the occasion to hand over a haul of presents our team had collected for Cash for Kids’ Mission Christmas appeal.

The office was filled with Christmas spirit as the team participated in Christmas Jumper Day 2019. On Friday 13th December, people are encouraged to make the world better with a sweater and raise funds for Save the Children by wearing a Christmas jumper and making a minimum donation of £1. Donations for the charity were collected and will help misfortunate children get an education while maintaining a healthy and safer lifestyle.

Numerous team members also donated presents for the Cash for Kids Mission Christmas Appeal, which is a charity that works with social services and other agencies to distribute gifts to disadvantaged children.

Sally Aitchison, Cash for Kids Managing Director, said: “A huge thank you to the team at Ellis Jones for supporting Mission Christmas. One in three children live in poverty across the UK. For these families, Christmas is a luxury they cannot afford. Every donation to Mission Christmas will be used to make Christmas Day different for children living in poverty.

Nigel Smith our Managing Partner, said: “It’s the seventh time we’ve joined in Christmas Jumper Day and the knitwear seems to get wackier every year. Many of our team members have also generously donated presents for the Cash for Kids appeal to make sure less fortunate children have a gift to open this Christmas. It’s a great way to get into the spirit of Christmas and have fun while supporting two very worthy children’s charities at the same time.”
