Ellis Jones Trekkers complete 13 mile Jurassic Coastal Trek for Julia’s House

Congratulations to all fourteen of our Ellis Jones Trekkers, including Arthur the dog, on successfully completing the Julia’s House Jurassic Coastal Trek over the weekend.

The trek took our team from Worth Matravers in Swanage along the south west coastal path. The team crossed the finishing line overlooking the stunning views of Old Harry Rocks and the sandy beaches of Studland.

It was a very hot day but the team pushed through and completed the trek within five and a half hours, enjoying the lovely scenery across the coast along the way.

The team crossed the finish line at Harry Warren House and enjoyed a hog roast and a glass of well-deserved bubbly. We are proud of our team for raising £900 for Julia’s House.

Julia’s House was founded in 2003 in order to develop a ‘support network for families struggling to care for a life-limited child without any help or respite’. The charity has since built a children’s hospice in both Dorset and Wiltshire and they continue to provide practical and emotional support for families caring for a child with a life-limiting or threatening condition. A massive thank you to all our trekkers and to the Julia’s House team for their well organised event with marshals and plenty of
refreshment stops along the way to fuel our team.

The firm will also be continuing to raise money for Julia’s House during their Ellis Jones dress down fundraising days in June and July to further support the charity.
