Ellis Jones promotes ‘rising stars’ to Associate Solicitors
Two ‘rising stars’ at Ellis Jones have been promoted to Associate Solicitors. Paul Kanolik works in the firm’s Banking & Finance Litigation department while Ian Butterworth is part of the Family department.
Both promotions have been described by Nigel Smith, Managing Partner, as “very welcome” recognition.
He added: “Paul and Ian have established themselves as key members of our team within the space of just three years. Their promotions are well-deserved.”
Paul joined Ellis Jones in 2012 and deals with various types of disputes, including banking and finance litigation and intellectual property matters such as copyright and trademark registrations, assignments and claims. He represents and works with a number of individuals and small/medium-sized businesses, often dealing with high value claims made by and against large multi-national corporations.
As a member of Ellis Jones’ specialist Banking & Finance Litigation department, Paul has helped reclaim more than £20 million for clients who have been mis-sold interest rate hedging products by banks.
Ian also joined Ellis Jones in 2012 and is part of the firm’s Family department which has a large number of high net-worth clients and three trained mediators. He specialises in financial disputes between married and unmarried couples where his tactful approach and attention to detail has reaped rewards, according to Ellis Jones.
