Applying for a Training Contract
We are currently taking applications for Training Contracts to commence in September 2019 only.
In order to apply, you must provide your final (or predicted final) law degree results and you will have been accepted onto an LPC. If you have undertaken an alternative route to qualification, you will need to be able to supply us with appropriate details and qualification results.
Please apply by sending us a brief letter of application along with your CV to Miss Sabre King, HR Manager; email@example.com
In your letter you should outline any specific areas of law in which you have a particular interest along with any previous work experience that you feel is relevant. Please ensure that your CV clearly shows all academic/exam results and achievements and legal work experience. You may be asked to complete an application form. Upon receipt of your application, we will write to you and let you know if you have been successful in your initial application and what happens next. If you are unsuccessful, you may apply again for the following year.
What our Trainees say:
“I was attracted by the firm’s excellent reputation within the local area and friendly approach. The firm was able to offer trainees the chance to gain experience in a large number of departments. Additionally the level of support and opportunity to progress within the firm were apparent. As a trainee I am involved in a variety of matters and have a varied case load. The firm’s open door policy and approachable atmosphere provides for an ideal training environment with a good balance between support and responsibility” Clair Phillips, Trainee Solicitor.
“Ellis Jones stood out to me as a forward thinking firm in the local area. I had got to know some of the younger solicitors through the Junior Lawyers Division whilst studying for my LPC in Bournemouth and was attracted to the variety of opportunities and sense of camaraderie offered. I have been given a varied workload in each department and encouraged to take on more responsibility as my seats progress. I have felt very welcomed into each department.” Annie James, Trainee Solicitor.
