Royal Ascot Ladies Lunch Raises £1000 for Forest Holme Hospice

Our female staff members and their guests enjoyed our 5th Annual Royal Ascot Ladies Day Lunch in the glorious sunshine at the Lake Yard in Poole to raise funds for Forest Holme Hospice.

During a delicious three course lunch, guests were invited to place bets on the races through a tote-betting system with half of all the bets per race being donated to the charity. During the day the Firm presented prizes for the best fascinator and for the individual that correctly guessed what colour The Queen would be wearing at Ascot that day.

We are proud to announce that we were able to raise £1000 for the charity which is a great achievement and a record amount for this annual event. We cannot thank our guests enough for their generosity to help us to raise such an impressive amount for such a worthy cause.

Hannah O’Hare, Fundraising and Communications Manager, from Forest Holme Hospice commented:

‘We are so grateful to Ellis Jones Solicitors for their continued support of our hospice. This year’s Ladies Day was a huge success and raised an incredible £1,000 for our work. This money will provide compassionate care for local people living with the advanced stages of cancer and other life limiting illnesses.

The team at Forest Holme Hospice support families during the darkest times by providing comfort, pain management and dignified care.

2019 marks the 25th anniversary of our charity. Since 1994 we have cared for over 20,000 people through our inpatient team, community team, counselling service and complementary therapies. We couldn’t have achieved this level of care without the support of local individuals and companies such as Ellis Jones. Thank you’.
