My Marketing Placement at Ellis Jones

A placement at Ellis Jones is so much more than an internship. During my time here I have been mentored by fantastic, knowledgeable and friendly professionals who have treated me as a valued and capable member of the Marketing Team.

During my time here I have experienced many different aspects of Marketing, from Social Media, SEO and PPC to print advertising, public relations and sponsorship deals. I have also been able to be a part of several large scale projects, many of which I was able to play a key role in planning and implementation. One of the highlights has to be our National Coming Out Day campaign which launched our ‘Same-Sex Legal Advice’ service. My manager Georgina and I took this campaign from a small concept all the way through to being the firm’s most successful and widespread Social Media campaign – the campaign was especially close to my heart as I shared my own experience on camera.

Being welcomed into the firm’s way of life has also been a great experience, I have been lucky enough to attend the Dorset Legal Awards and several staff socials, all while making some very genuine close friends along the way.

A placement is a fantastic addition to an undergraduate’s CV, a great way to gain valuable experience and a genuinely enjoyable experience.
