Your Approach:
I work with directors and owners of small and medium sized companies to help them to use the law to their best advantage. I’ve helped many local businesses and business owners to achieve their goals legally and legitimately and have done so cost effectively. I tailor my work so that it is proportionate to the size of the company and the risks involved. I believe that a business’ needs are best served by listening to the person who knows the business best: the person who is inside the business each and every day, be that the owner/manager, the board of directors or the in house legal advisor.
Professional Qualifications & Associations:
- LLB Business Law Degree (Bournemouth University)
- Legal Practice Course (College of Law, Guildford)
I am a member of the Leading Edge group which focuses on building relationships between local professionals and business leaders. I also attend events organised by the Dorset Chamber of Commerce and Industry and other local events focusing on building a network of trusted experts. Through this I am able to ensure that my clients are always given the opportunity to receive the right advice from the right person.
Your Route to Ellis Jones:
I began my legal career working as one year placement student at JP Morgan, Bournemouth, reviewing IT procurement contracts within a small team. After completing my degree I moved to London where I worked as a paralegal in one of the corporate teams at Herbert Smith gaining experience working on high profile transactions for multinational listed companies.
In 2004 I returned to Bournemouth to commence the final part of my training with Ellis Jones enabling me to provide a broad spectrum of advice to businesses in the online retail sector, the engineering sector; residential construction businesses, the manufacturing sector; the information technology sector; and the electronics industry.
