Your Approach:
I balance my time between client work, my two commercial teams and partnership matters. With client work the emphasis is on speed, quality, communication with client and other parties , and price; and being proactive in all these areas. My teams understand that get these right and you will be doing a good job. On the management side I try to listen, be available, constructive and supportive.

Assistant Solicitor in 1982. I became Partner in 1984.
Outside Work:
I am married with 3 grown up children. I have lived in Dorset almost all my life and I am lucky to have built up many good friends and acquaintances. I have supported charities through sponsored treks in Nepal, Patagonia and Brazil and in 2012 I will be embarking on another such trek across the Sahara Desert. I enjoy travel and in addition to the treks I have visited Morocco, Easter Island, Mexico, California, Malaysia and Argentina.
I also enjoy exercise and I jog, cycle, gym, hike and play golf. I have hiked coast to coast through the lake district, completed the Offa’s Dyke trail south Wales to north Wales and also the West Highland Way in Scotland. I have completed numerous fun runs, 7 triathlons and 1 marathon and I managed to volunteer for a week in a training camp at Cape Wrath in north west Scotland run by an SAS instructor (never again!
