Your Route to Ellis Jones:
I joined the firm in about 1987 as a secretary. Whilst working, I studied with the Institute of Legal Executives and moved into a trainee role with the firm. I worked in the Personal Injury Department and qualified as a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives. I practised Personal Injury law for many years.
In the meantime, I also trained to become a Developer and Administrator for the Firm's Case Management System, Solcase V5 and V7 and more recently, Lawsoft. As the Firm has grown, so has it's commitment to case management and it is now in use across the Firm.
I have moved away from fee earning and now deal with all aspects of Administration and Development of the case management systems to include programming, staff training and providing staff support.
Outside Work:
I live locally on the edge of the New Forest. I have many hobbies which are mainly focused around paper crafts, jewellery and sewing.
I also work as a Clerk to Governors of a local school.
