NEW ‘signing’ Hugh Craig scored big-time in his first major deal for Bournemouth law firm Ellis Jones Solicitors.
The consultant solicitor successfully represented interests associated with Maxim Demin in the acquisition of a 50 per cent shareholding in the League One club AFC Bournemouth from Jeff Mostyn and Steve Sly.
According to Nigel Smith, Ellis Jones’ Managing Partner, the deal was a significant ‘feather in the cap’ for the law firm.
Nigel added: “To say Hugh is one of our best signings is an understatement. It’s great to have him as part of the Ellis Jones’ team.”
Formerly a senior partner with a City law firm in London, Hugh was latterly a consultant specialising in corporate and commercial work.
His extensive experience includes the purchase and sale of businesses and companies, particularly acting for restaurants and companies in the leisure industry.
“Having virtually retired from my London practice, I welcomed the opportunity to become a consultant with a local law firm with such a strong business clientele,” Hugh said.
“I’ve been a keen AFC Bournemouth supporter since moving to the area ten years ago so working on this deal was particularly interesting and enjoyable.”
