How Much Will My Legal Advice Cost?
We offer an initial half hour meeting or telephone consultation, which is free and during which the question of costs will be fully discussed. There are different ways of funding a claim. We will discuss all options when we meet you. If you have legal expenses insurance this may cover your claim and in appropriate cases, we may be able to offer a no win no fee agreement.
Will I Get My Costs Back?
This depends on many factors, but the basic principle is that the loser pays most of the winner's costs. Therefore, if you are successful, we will be seeking to recover a substantial contribution towards your costs from the other side. However, we will discuss costs with you in greater detail at the outset of the case.
How Long Will My Claim Take?
Unfortunately this all depends on the nature of the claim and the attitude of your opponent. We always encourage settlement wherever possible. However, where this is not achievable it may become necessary to issue of defend court proceedings which will result in a timetable being set by the court. We will discuss likely timescales with you at the outset of your case.
