QUIZ maestros at Ellis Jones Solicitors have notched up another success adding to their impressive tally of victories.
A five-strong team from the Dorset and New Forest law firm won the Oakdene Cup for the fourth year in a row, beating off competition from 11 rival teams.
The success followed other wins in the last year including the Bournemouth and District Law Society annual quiz and the Bournemouth and District Institute of Legal Executives (ILEX) contest.
Sharala Lowe, who works as a legal executive at Ellis Jones’ Ringwood office, said: “We’re on a definite roll. Perhaps it’s time to give up the day job!”
The Oakdene Cup is a bi-annual charity quiz organised by Shorefield Holidays.
The event raised £510 for Round Table Children’s Wish (RTCW), the Bournemouth-based national charity which grants wishes to children with life-threatening illnesses. The sum included Ellis Jones’ prize money.
Sharala said: “We started off with ten members of our quiz team but, for various reasons, some had to drop out and we were left with five.
“Tables of up to ten were allowed so I think we did very well.”
Other members of the successful Ellis Jones’ team included Matthew Clake, Paul Dyer, Pam Brannan and Jo Funnell.
