Watch Our New Charity Seminar Video

Earlier this year we hosted our third charities seminar event at the RNLI College in Poole. Our charities seminars are an opportunity for representatives from local and national charities, as well as other professionals who advise charities, to network and hear presentations on subjects affecting the charity sector.

During this seminar our guest speaker Gary Neild, Managing Director at Blue Sky Financial Planning, presented on charity trustee investment duties and current investment trends. Andy Kirby (Private Client Consultant in our Wills, Trusts and Probate team) followed Gary’s speech by discussing effective charity giving in wills. Andy also gave suggestions for other methods of donating to charities, for example charitable trusts. The presentation was concluded by Victoria Riddleston (Associate Solicitor specialising in Will and Inheritance Disputes) presenting on the topical discussion of when a charity might decide to reject a legacy.
